Software Engineer

Erkan Pulat

Welcome. This is my universe, shaped by code.

Every star here carries the trace of a problem once solved.

And every one of them has a story to tell.

00 · Origin

Every universe has a beginning.

Mine began with a curiosity for computers. At first, all I was looking for was answers. But every answer raised new questions, and every question pulled me a little deeper into software.

After a while I realized that what stretched out before me was a universe with no visible edges.

And I had already set my course for my first expedition.

Three planets, one route.

Each planet marks a transformation; each left its own stars in the sky. Touch the stars glowing at every stop — each one carries a story waiting to be discovered.

The First Planet

The first planet sets the direction of the journey.

My first expedition took me to İnönü University. This is where I realized the software universe was far bigger than I had imagined.

Algorithms, data structures, software engineering, machine learning… Each was a different galaxy waiting to be explored. Every time I charted one, another appeared on the horizon. With every discovery, the universe grew a little larger.

And it was right here that my curiosity found its direction. I realized that what tied me to this journey wasn't just learning; it was turning what I discovered into solutions for real problems.

The first stars began to shine on this planet, too.

Looking back, though, the most valuable thing I took from this planet wasn't the projects; it was a way of thinking. This is where I learned to understand problems before solving them, and to design solutions before coding them.

It was time to see whether these stars would shine in the real world, too.

Transformation

Some discoveries don't just help you grow; they transform you.

This time, what lay ahead weren't courses or assignments. There were real problems waiting to be solved, teammates who worked alongside me and trusted me, and thousands of users relying on the systems my code brought to life. This planet had rules of its own: every line I wrote had a consequence, every decision a cost.

This planet was called Cubicl.

I didn't just write software here. I took responsibility at every stage of a product's journey — from the first idea to meeting real users and evolving over time. This is where I learned that good engineering isn't just writing code; it's owning a system end to end, growing it, and keeping it reliably on its feet.

Every journey sometimes requires pausing to prepare for a new course. By the time I left this planet, I had become an engineer who truly carries the responsibility of live systems.

Now it was time to light up this universe with stars of my own.

My Own Stars

Some journeys aren't about discovering; they're about leaving a mark.

For the first time, there was no ready-made route in front of me. Every star that would shine in this universe would be shaped by my own decisions.

This time I turned years of experience into ideas of my own. I built every layer myself — from architecture to user experience, from server infrastructure to running live systems. Every new star was a reflection of everything I had learned on the journeys before it.

Along the way, I kept building freelance projects to solve real needs across different industries, and deepened my perspective with courses taught by experienced engineers from around the world.

My Constellations

The fundamental forces that hold my universe together; the star maps I navigate by in the dark. Each star shines at its own frequency, yet together they create the great force that turns abstract ideas into living, breathing systems.

And I know there are many more planets waiting to be discovered.

Maybe we'll discover the next planet together.

A new product, a hard problem, or simply a good engineering conversation... Sometimes new journeys begin with a single message.
